At 50, Aamir Opens Up

This year Aamir Khan, like he does every year, invited the Mumbai media to celebrate his birthday with him. However, he made an exception this year, since it’s his 50th birthday, a special moment thats a milestone in everyones life. He celebrated a day in advance and threw the doors of his home and heart open to the media, who arrived in big numbers to wish the star.





His Bandra pad, facing the sea and filled with breeze, was brimming with happiness and Aamirs warmth. An eyewitness lets out, “Aamir met every journalist personally. And in a freewheeling conversation, he opened up on various topics, some of which he had never touched in regular interviews. It was a heartfelt conversation, particularly for Aamir, who broke down while talking about his separation from his first wife Reena.

He has seldom spoken of the days when he hit emotional rock bottom, missed his kids terribly and wanted to be with them in their formative years, and took to alcohol to get over the pain. He also went down memory lane to the days when the press and he didnt have a great equation.”







The actor has also completed 25 years in showbiz. And moving forward in his life, he plans to play characters that suit his ‘age. His next outing is Dangal - a film that  he insists has still not been fully cast.

After a heart-to-heart with media persons, he left in a chopper for a resort near Lonavla, where his family and friends are waiting to ring in his half-century!
